Atributet ARIA (aria-label, aria-hidden, role) u japin informacion shtesë lexuesve të ekranit që përdorin njerëzit me shikim të dobët — p.sh. çfarë bën një buton që ka vetëm ikonë. Rregulli i parë: përdor HTML semantike kur mundesh, ARIA vetëm kur s'mjafton.
