SFINAE („Substitution Failure Is Not An Error“) do të thotë që nëse një template s'përshtatet për një tip, kompajleri thjesht e injoron dhe kërkon një tjetër. Ishte mënyra e vjetër e kufizimit të template-ve; sot përdoren concepts.
