Locale-i i tregon programeve gjuhën, formatin e datave dhe kodimin e tekstit. Nëse „ë“ dhe „ç“ shfaqen si „ë“, ka shumë mundësi që locale-i s'është UTF-8. Kontrollo me „locale“ dhe vendos LANG=en_US.UTF-8 ose sq_AL.UTF-8.

The locale tells programs your language, date format and text encoding. If “ë” and “ç” show up as “ë”, your locale probably isn't UTF-8. Check with “locale” and set LANG=en_US.UTF-8 or sq_AL.UTF-8.
