Testimi i hipotezave pyet: „a është ky ndryshim i vërtetë apo thjesht rastësi?“. Vlera p tregon sa e mundshme do të ishte të shihje këtë rezultat po s'kishte asnjë efekt. Zakonisht p < 0,05 quhet „statistikisht domethënës“ — por s'do të thotë „i rëndësishëm“.

Hypothesis testing asks: “is this difference real or just chance?”. The p-value says how likely you'd see this result if there were no effect. Usually p < 0.05 is called “statistically significant” — but that doesn't mean “important”.
