Header-i HSTS i thotë shfletuesit: „për këtë domen, përdor gjithmonë HTTPS, kurrë HTTP“. Kështu një sulmues në WiFi publik s'mund ta kthejë lidhjen në HTTP të paenkriptuar.

The HSTS header tells the browser: “for this domain, always use HTTPS, never HTTP”. That way an attacker on public WiFi can't downgrade the connection to unencrypted HTTP.
