Teorema CAP thotë që një sistem i shpërndarë, kur rrjeti ndahet, duhet të zgjedhë mes konsistencës (të gjithë shohin të njëjtën gjë) dhe disponueshmërisë (gjithmonë përgjigjet). S'mund t'i kesh të dyja njëkohësisht.

The CAP theorem says a distributed system, when the network splits, must choose between consistency (everyone sees the same thing) and availability (it always answers). You can't have both at once.
